This summer has been exceptionally hot, with several heat warning issued.  What can we do to stay safe?  Health Canada issued these tips to help us :

Follow these five steps to protect yourself and your family in very hot weather (click on each tip for details):

  1. Prepare for the heat
  2. Pay close attention to how you – and those around you – feel
  3. Stay hydrated
  4. Stay cool
  5. Avoid exposure to extreme heat when outdoors

Heat illnesses are preventable. During extreme heat, the most important thing is to keep cool and hydrated.  Click here to view a video which addresses how to avoid heat exhaustion:
