Bone Health & Fracture Prevention
Information Session

A 2-hour, interactive group session focusing on how to improve your bone health and prevent fractures. The session is led by a Registered Dietitian, a Pharmacist and a member of Osteoporosis Canada.

What will I learn during this Information Session?

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Osteoporosis – What is it?
  • Increased Risk of Fracture
  • Exercise
  • Nutrition and Diet
  • Medications and Supplements
  • Goal Setting and Self Management

Who can attend?

Any patient belonging to the Barrie and Community Family Health Team is welcome to attend this information session.

NOTE:  Because of our partnership with Osteoporosis Canada, you may still attend even if your physician is not part of our Family Health Team.  When registering online (below) leave the physician name section blank.

How do I register?

If your Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Pharmacist or Registered Dietitian has already sent a referral for this session, one of our administrative team members will contact you shortly.  Alternatively, you can register yourself by selecting your preferred date below and clicking Register Now or by calling 705-721-0370 ext. 2907 and speaking with administrative staff.

Classes is offered every 2 to 3 months, depending on volume.
