Weight Loss Surgery – Post Bariatric Group Class Summary
What will I learn during this Information Session?
The session will assist bariatric patients in the lifelong management of their obesity as a chronic disease post gastric-bypass surgery. Patients will receive tools and support to prevent vitamin and mineral deficiencies that may be present or occur long term, as well as to help prevent /reduce weight regain. Sessions are led by a Registered Dietitian.
Who can attend?
Any patient age 18+ belonging to the Barrie and Community Family Health Team is welcome to attend along with a spouse, partner or support workers. This class is covered by OHIP.
FOR THIS SESSION ONLY: You may still attend even if your physician is not part of our Family Health Team.
How do I register?
If your Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Pharmacist or Registered Dietitian has already sent a referral for this session, one of our administrative team members will contact you shortly. Alternatively, you can register yourself by calling 705-721-0370 ext. 2907.
