Prenatal and Well Baby
Who We Are
The Prenatal and Well Baby (PNWB) Program provides prenatal care for pregnant persons up until age 28 weeks gestation and well baby care for children up to the age of 6 years, who do NOT have a primary care provider in the Barrie area. The program was initiated in response to an identified community need to improve access to prenatal and well baby care in our community for those who do not have a primary care provider. Our goal is to improve health outcomes for these individuals by providing health care, education as well as referrals and links to community supports, as appropriate. Breast/chestfeeding services are provided by a Lactation Consultant within the PNWB program. ALL PARENTS IN THE BARRIE AREA ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BREASTFEEDING/CHESTFEEDING SERVICES WITHIN OUR PROGRAM.
