Bone Health and Fracture Prevention Class Summary 

A 2-hour, interactive group session focusing on how to improve your bone health and prevent fractures. The session is led by a Registered Dietitian, a Pharmacist and a member of Osteoporosis Canada.

What will I learn?

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Osteoporosis – What is it?
  • Increased Risk of Fracture
  • Exercise
  • Nutrition and Diet
  • Medications and Supplements
  • Goal Setting and Self Management

Who can attend?

Any patient belonging to the Barrie and Community Family Health Team is welcome to attend this information session. NOTE:  Because of our partnership with Osteoporosis Canada, you may still attend even if your physician is not part of our Family Health Team.

Class Availability

Classes is offered every 2 to 3 months, depending on volume.
